Booking Policy:
- We cannot hold rooms without a valid credit card and expiry number
- We take a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking which is deducted from your bill upon
check out. Deposits are: Winter package $75
Spring/Summer/Autumn 1-3 nights $50 3-6 nights $100 7 or more $200
- Room rates quoted are for two people. Taxes extra.
- We have created each of our rooms as a special place for two people. We do not have extra cots or
pull out sofas.
Check in Time 3 pm - 7 pm. Please respect this. As we like to meet you at your car please call
the day of arrival and give us a more accurate time of arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
- There is a 72* hour cancellation policy in effect for all rooms/packages. If your plans change please
notify us at the very least 72 hours before 3 pm the scheduled day of arrival Failure to do so will
result in credit card charges for the full amount.
- This policy applies to the total number of nights booked including any dinners or extras ordered.
- Please note that there may be a longer cancellation policy depending on packages, length of stay or
special holidays. You will be informed of any variations to the 72 hour policy in writing with your
confirmation.
- Cancellations must be made by telephone not by email
Packages
- Winter Dinner, Bed and Breakfast Special is available January 15th to May 15th only
Guest Amenities
- All rooms are equipped with coffee/tea making facilities, wine glasses, bathrobes, an extensive
toiletry selection, hair dryer and room controlled heating and ceiling fans.
- All mattresses are Simons Beautyrests and get rave reviews for comfort.
- There is a central telephone for use with a phone card or calling card.
- High speed Internet is accessible in all rooms in the house. It is an unreliable signal to the cottage.
- All rooms have Satellite TV. Some have VHS/DVD capabilities.
Pets
- We are unable to accept any size pet to accompany you.
- Resident Pet - We have a 3 year old Westie -Phoebe and 8 year old Westie Duncan Fife on the
property. At no time are the Westies allowed into the bedrooms.
Breakfast
- Breakfast is served in the Spring and Summer between 7:30 am - 9:00 am - in Autumn we serve
between 8-9 am. We regret we are unable to serve outside of these times. Christmas and
Valentines Holidays are exceptions.
- Breakfast is a full cooked meal which varies from day to day and is served alongside yogurt, fresh
fruit, cereal, orange juice, home made jam and fresh muffins.
- Please alert us to any food allergies or special dietary requirements well in advance of your arrival.
- Due to the high cost of food, very special dietary requests could incur a surcharge.
Access
- The Rose Cottage is wheelchair accessible as well as motor scooter accessible
- The Entrance to the house and main hallway is wheelchair accessible.
- The Russian, Conservatory and African Rooms are all on the mail level - no stairs but are not listed
as handicap accessible.
- The Iris Room is in the older part of the house and there are stairs involved in reaching this room.
Smoking
- This is a no smoking property. Any evidence of smoking in the rooms or on the decks will result in a
$200 levy on your credit card.
- There is no smoking in any part of any building and we ask guests to smoke only on the driveway,
well clear of any windows or other guests.
Canoe
- We have a canoe for paddling around the lake which is free of charge.
- Guests are required to sign a waiver and to wear their life jackets while in the canoe.
Dress Code
- Guests are expected to dress for breakfast - no bathrobes or pjs please.
- While we set the Dinner table very elegantly, guests are welcome to dress casually or dress up
according to their wardrobes and comfort.
