| 3 Day / Four Night Itinerary So much to see and so little time... but this is your vacation and you want the best advice on what to see and do and make the most of your visit and still allow time to unwind and experience that calmness you long for. So here is a suggested itinerary that guests have loved. One couple from Maine made a point of following it to the letter and had an absolutely fabulous time! But there is still lots of room for those individual choices and for whim to have its fancy. Those who don't allow themselves enough time on the trail always say, " If only I had known...." Arrival date: Check in after 3 pm Walk along the beach Relax and sip wine beside the lake Day One: Enjoy a marvelous English Breakfast after which Penny can point out the best places to stop along the trail! Travel North to Ingonish and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park Pick up a take away lunch at the Main Street Café or Clucking Hen Cafe Middlehead Peninsula walk (easy walk, spectacular views) Travel north, stopping at some wonderful places along the roadside where you can choose a place to eat your picnic. Take the scenic route around Neil's Harbour stopping at White Point Dine at the Atlantic Restaurant or Coastal Waters Restaurant or Main Street Cafe in Ingonish Relax, soak in the tub, read a book, enjoy the peace and quiet upon your return to your beautiful room Day Two: A breakfast full of treats, sharing your adventure stories from the day before Travel around the Southern part of the Trail through the Margaree Valley Stop for Lunch and shops along the way and in Cheticamp Stop at the Highlands National Park Bookstore Don't miss the spectacular 2 -3 hour hike on the Skyline Trail Travel on to Pleasant Bay - spectacular scenery Visit the Whale Interpretive Centre Take a Whale Boat Tour Return to ECG B&B, stopping at Lobster Galley at exit 11 for dinner Finish off that bottle of wine while relaxing at the B&B Day Three: Shopping the Artisans' Route - 13 Top Quality Artisans Studios - all within 15 minutes of the B&B Puffin Boat Tours from Englishtown Ferry Wharf OR Sea Adventures Whale Tour on a Schooner from Ingonish Ferry OR Walk to Indian Brook Falls (difficult- 6 hours) or Barachois River Walk (easy - 2 hours) OR an evening of talking, relaxing, soaking and lounging.
